Big Brother 9 Kicks Off Tonight!!

bigbrother_logo.jpgYes, the night we've all been waiting for, Big Brother 9 premieres tonight on CBS. While there is still little known about the upcoming season, one thing seems certain - it's the 'Season of Love'. Each of the 16 houseguests took a 'compatibility test' and were subsequently matched with a stranger that best fits their criteria. The pairings then play the whole game together as a 'couple' - they compete together, they win/lose together, they vote together and are evicted together. But will they stay together after the show ends? No way. But this should make for an interesting season. Let the Flirt-a-thon begin!

Many people have been speculating that Big Brother 9 was rushed due to the writer's strike (which was just settled). According to the show's producer, this was no rush job.

"You know, no. The idea that this could happen has been in the works for a while. So casting was started quite early on this, but you know, with anything, it always comes down to the wire, no matter what. So it feels no different, to be honest. We've had plenty of time to put the house together, and it's a whole different look that we're really liking." - Allison Grodner
